Lighting Designer

Amie Schulenburg

Shiatzy Chen demanded a retail environment where every detail — including the light — spoke to the brand's exceptional standard of quality.

The lighting scheme was designed to honour the boutique's intimate scale while elevating the artistry of the collections on display. Warm, precisely directed illumination draws the eye to the craftsmanship of each garment — the intricate embroidery, rich fabrics, and refined tailoring — allowing the pieces to be seen exactly as they were intended. Fixtures recede into the architecture, ensuring the clothing and the brand identity remain the undisputed focus.

The result is a luminous retail experience that feels both luxurious and intimate — a fitting stage for one of Asia's most celebrated fashion houses making its mark on the world's most discerning luxury market.
